Thanks to the generous support of people like you, the United Way is able to help the Habersham County community year-round.
Your donation helps support high quality programs and services that achieve dramatic results in the areas of Crisis Intervention, Education, Emergency Assistance and Health. People of all ages benefit from your generosity.
You may think, "My donation doesn't matter," but it does! When your donation is combined with those of your co-workers, neighbors, friends, and family you make great things happen in Habersham County. Your donation supports 25 local agencies that give people hope by helping them break free from poverty, addiction, and abuse. Your donation helps feed the elderly, clothe the poor, house the homeless and teach adults how to read. By giving to the Habersham County United Way you make it possible for our public libraries to purchase children's books that inspire girls and boys to learn and dream. Your donation DOES make a difference in so many lives, in so many ways.
We are LOCAL
When you give to our United Way, your gift goes far, but not far away. Your donation is invested where you live and work - right here in Habersham County.
We are ACCOUNTABLE
No program is funded until it is rigorously reviewed by trained volunteers. These volunteer experts evaluate health and human service programs and decide which are most vital and effective to ensure that your money is well spent.
We are EFFICIENT
Your contribution is invested wisely. More than 99 cents of every dollar collected stays in Habersham County. United Way distributes contributions through a community based allocations process that determines funding of agency programs that work together to improve our community.
We are EFFECTIVE
The programs funded assist people who want and need help. Some people learn to read, some become better parents. Children are nurtured, stronger and healthier families are created.
